Richard Plummer, Founder
Mr. Plummer is the founder and CEO of Cyber Crime Forensics LLC., and conducted counterintelligence and cyber investigations and operations for the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations for 9 years. He was trained at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Criminal Investigators Training Program (CITP) in Glynco, Georgia. Training included all aspects of criminal investigations to include crimes against people, property, narcotics, computer and sex crimes. The CITP program included several hours of additional training in constitutional law and search warrant preparation and service.
In 2009 Richard was given specialized training in Computer Crimes at the Department of Defense Cyber Investigations Training Academy in Linthicum, MD. He has over 500 hours of computer forensics training and countless hours of real world forensics experience including over 2,000 examinations. He has held certifications as a Digital Media Collector (CDMC), Certified Digital Forensic Examiner (CDFE) with Encase, and a Certified Computer Crime Investigator (CCCI), and Lantern Certified Instructor. Richard has considerable experience conducting computer crime investigations, intrusion investigations, incident response, computer forensics, mobile device forensics and eDiscovery defensible collection of ESI.
Mr. Plummer is also an adjunct instructor and curriculum developer for Basic and Advanced Computer Forensics Training with EnCase at the High Tech Crime Institute Group and iOS and Android mobile device forensics with Katana Forensics. Richard holds a Master of Science, Criminal Justice & Crime Management and a Bachelor of Science, Investigations from Bellevue University.
